Workplace Violence Prevention Training
Effective July 1, 2024, Senate Bill 553 requires employers with at least one employee to take several steps to prevent workplace violence, including implementing a written workplace violence prevention plan, providing training on the plan, and maintaining a log of workplace violence incidents and investigations.
Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) Development
In accordance with Senate Bill 553, employers are required to address workplace violence hazards to protect employees and comply with the regulatory requirement of establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective written workplace violence prevention plan (WVPP). The WVPP must be developed by both the employer and employee. The goal being to identify and prevent workplace violence incidents or threats.
OSTS can develop your company-specific Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) as required by SB 553. The program will include all necessary elements and procedures, including forms to assist in accomplishing and documenting incident or threats.

This 1-hour class offers ways to help manage disruptive and aggressive behavior in the workplace. This class will also help to lower risk of injury, improve workplace relations, and reduce exposure to liability.
